Raffaella Rosa Lorenzo was born in the province of Milano and lived her early years between Lombardy and Friuli.
She is now living and working in Versilia “Tuscany”, a free port, a cathartic shelter for a severely tried, by small and big odysseys,  emotional spirit. She started painting at a very young age, a perfect precocious talent.
Far from being an academic, Raffaella has achieved a very personal style.
Distinctive for the unique themes developed by the artist for which seem, at a first glance, random chromatic transgressions. Actually  are nothing but irrational combinations, synergetic contradictions, clashing harmonies.
But what, even in a distracted observation of Lorenzo’s work does not escape us, is the “energy charge”, pure energy that pours out of her paintings, a happy symbiosis of light and energy. The artist does not hesitate to put all of herself at stake, she is very sensitive and expresses passion, abandon, she teaches and learns, warns and consoles, a suffering intermediary between “this” world and other worlds.
Worlds populated by intriguing presences that for people like Raffaella and to the chosen few, however, reveal themselves in shapes and in the most singular circumstances.
